Ok, so how is it that all of those health coaches, or people selling products like Beachbody and Plexus, while giving health advice (we know they all do it, and I see it in my FB feed every day), are not violating nutrition licensure laws?

I've seen a lot of supplements recently with collagen protein in them, some with gelatin, some with hydrolyzed collagen, and some with enzyme-predigested collagen.

Some have added amino acids to the predigested collagen - cysteine, histidine, methionine, threonine, tryptophan.

I work at a facility for the developmentally disabled, with most patients having cerebral palsy. I was wondering if anyone who works with this population has a set way for determining desirable body weight (DBW) for adults, or if they have found standards to compare their weights too. Also, which methods are being used for height, and how often are they measured? Any input is appreciated!

Hello, I am new to this forum. I have taken the CDR exam 7 times as of last Thursday with my recent score being of 22. My 2 scores before the last time was 23. oes anyone have a good way to explain metabolism to patients? I frequently hear that they feel they need to eat all the time to keep their metabolism going or eat a certain food to increase their metabolism. I then ask them where they read that, what their understanding of metabolism is and how this has been working for them in terms of their long term goal, which weight loss.

Patient has an NJ tube, 10 Fr. Kangaroo Joey feeding sets. The set is properly connected into NJ tube, but does not stay in place. The feeding sets easily disconnect from the NJ tube. Patient keeps "feeding the bed" and daytime mobility is limited due to disconnection. Feedback I get from clinicians is "that shouldn't happen" or "that is not common." It is happening and I need advice how so

Hi, I work for a community clinic and most patients here have MediCal. I need to learn if/what/under what circumstances MediCal (Medicaid) would pay for MNT. Does any of the webinars specifically address this issue? I see one that deals with reimbursement from Medicare and private payers but I am interested in MediCal-Medicaid.

Considering consulting work and want to know what expenses that I need to consider when looking at wages. So far I know that you have to pay your own taxes, liability insurance as well as your own health insurance. Company says they do mileage . What else do I need to consider that will come out of my hourly wage.

Does anyone work at a hospital where meds are given with a supplement? Have you noticed any positive or negative outcomes from this? What supplement is being used for med pass?

I am in charge of piloting a nutrition related study on our 20 bed oncology unit and considering some sort of med pass trial.
